Thank you for booking a virtual session!
Google Meet is easy to use, once you get the hang of it. You can use Google Meet on a computer or a mobile device (smart phone, tablet).
To make the most of our time together, you may wish to test Google Meet now and make sure your microphone, video camera (optional, but preferred) and speakers are set up.
I cannot offer technical assistance with Google Meet, so please test it out well before hand to offer to ensure you have time to problem solve if needed. If you need help, please contact Google Meet Help Centre (click here).
Using a Computer
Setting up on a computer is a bit trickier than a mobile device (because there are far more options for microphone, speakers and video inputs). I have included instructions for setting up with a computer below.
The instructions:
1. Go to your session confirmation email, and click on the “Join Now” link under location. It is okay to click it at anytime, you don’t have to wait for your appointment time.

2. You should see a screen like this:

3. The purple arrows show where you can change your microphone, speakers and webcam.
4. Under webcam, you can make a test recording. Please do because it can show us technical problems before we get started!

5. Make your test recording! Click on the “Capture and Diagnose” button.
No one will see this recording but you :)!

6. You will get a diagnosis. Please watch the video, even if you pass all of the tests to make sure you like what you see. As you can see here, I passed the video test, but the video is clearly not what I want!

7. If you need help troubleshooting your Google Meet set up, please contact Google Meet Help Centre (click here).
Using a Mobile Device
Google Meet is easier to set up on a mobile device than it is on a computer, but the apps have less features available than the web version. If you want to record your session, you need to use a computer.
You can download the Google Meet app below:
Looking forward to MEETing you;)
